Staying safe in our community

Welcome to the Safety Tips page for Brandon Groves Neighbourhood Watch. Here, we aim to provide friendly and practical advice to help keep our community safe and secure. Your awareness and vigilance are key to maintaining a safe environment for everyone. Let's work together to protect our neighbourhood.

Top safety concerns

Here are the top 3 safety concerns we want our residents to be most aware of:

  • Emergency Situations: If you witness anything suspicious or a crime in progress, please call 999 immediately. Stay calm and follow the instructions provided by the call handler.
  • Non-Emergency Situations: For non-emergencies, such as reporting suspicious behaviour, ongoing anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, or non-emergency theft, call 101 to contact Essex Police.
  • Online Reporting: You can also report non-emergencies online at www.essex.police.uk. This is often a quicker process and helps keep the phone lines clear for urgent calls.

Worried about an elderly resident?

If you have concerns about an elderly resident, here's what you can do:

  • Speak to Relatives: If possible, talk to their relatives to share your concerns.
  • Encourage Contact Information Sharing: If they live alone, encourage them to share the phone number of someone who can be contacted in case of an emergency. This helps ensure they have support when needed.

Our goal

Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that all residents of Brandon Groves feel safe and secure in their community. By staying informed and taking simple precautions, we can collectively create a safer and more pleasant environment for everyone. Thank you for being a part of Brandon Groves Neighbourhood Watch!
